New markers, new markers, staring at the waaaalll

I am now the proud owner of my very first full 24 piece set of Prismacolor Premier Art Markers.

Open Letter to the Designers of the Carrying Case for the Prismacolor Premier Art Markers-
Congratulations, ladies and or gentlemen, whichever is more offensive, you have taken the Mona Lisa and wrapped it in a diaper that has been used by a baby whose parents only feed him coffee, hot mustard, Triscuits, and Apples. And his own hair.

I hope you trip on the sidewalk and your nose falls in a crack and gets stuck.

Sincerely,
Noah Ginex
proud owner of a set of Beautiful Art Markers, in the world's dumbest carrying case.

guest artist

my brother, from whom I learned all I know about art and how to make art, took it upon himself to sketch me and all the weird things I wear and carry around with me. Usually, when I draw myself, he'll chuckle, get out a pen, and say, "No, this is what you REALLY look like." and then 5 minutes later, a scathingly accurate illustration of me will be on paper.

SCRUBS

stuck in michigan with some markers over Thanksgiving, I drew this:

Little Red

Made this drawing for a competition I'm in called My Team Your Team...
Where one person makes a drawing of some kind of character, and then all the characters after that must be able to defeat the character before them with their power, whatever that be.

it's over at FuzzyCo, if you wanna take a look.

CAN'T SLEEP. CLOWN'LL EAT ME!

I never watched this show when it was on regular run TV( Is it still?) But now that George Lopez has gone into syndication AND has been added to Nick At Nite's roster of Crappy shows from too recently to be OLD yet, his picture is EVERYWHERE.

And it's only served to make me hate him and his gigantic JAW. A passion which has compelled me to watch his show. The only way to break that cycle was to draw him.

So I give you this, drawn in about 10 minutes at 4 in the morning:

WGN Kids Fair

This morning I did about 40 caricatures at the WGN Kids Fair in Chicago. Here are the best 8, by my calculations:

Click on them to get bigger versions.

I had a ton of fun.

Hire me to come do caricatures at YOUR party!

MURDER IN THE RAVENSWOOD STRIP 2

Muder In The Ravenswood Strip 2

This one's by Sean Guinan. He and I would switch back and forth drawing a few panels at a time, into a Strathmore black hardcover sketchbook. Sean likes using Flair pens, so that's what we used, for the most part. Penciled first, then inked.

MURDER ON THE RAVENSWOOD STRIP 1

Here are the first four panels of a book I did several years ago with my friend Sean Guinan. The characters are mostly based on his series of films, Flipping The Whale, and Teplitz. We would pass the book back and forth to eachother, improvising and creating 4 panels at a time and sort of steering the story as we went.

I did the first 4 panels. That's Sean and I as the Captain and the Swabbie, respectively:
