Optimus Grime

I can't remember why I thought of this, but it was one of those thoughts that was funny for half a second and then wouldn't go away, so I had to sketch it. Then, I had to ink it, then scan it, then spend hours I should have spent either sleeping or working on something productive, doing this.

Ta-da.

I'm a nerd.

Let it be known I had to do extensive googling to find out A) What Optimus Prime looked like, and Smiley Face with sunglasses) what color he was.

IF- Cracked

This week's theme is Cracked, and I instantly thought of Animal. Which led me to the whole band, and I thought about how the Electric Mayhem would spend their time after shows, on the bus, in the dressing room, whatever.

Cartoon A Day - First Week

Over on Flickr, I've started posting one cartoon a day, generally just taking whatever I'm feeling and putting it through the pen onto paper. For the first couple days, i just did quick ones with just a PITT B brush pen. After a couple days, I started coloring it in Photoshop, and I've gotten to a look I like quite a bit. What do you think?

Day 1:
Where I Am/Where I Want To Be

Day 2:
Up Late.

Day 3:
The Lethargic Turtle Gets Older.

Day 4:
Escape To Alaska.

Day 5:
Grouce Grouce Grouce.

Day 6:
Eureka.

Day 7:
BFFs

Tauntaun On Hoth

So not a sketch or a comic, but still worth posting.

This will only be funny if you have knowledge of the obscure-to-most 1930s Belgian comic strip Tintin et Milou, or The Adventures of Tintin.

I thought the hardest part was going to be finding a dog that looked enough like both Snowy AND Chewie, but poof! someone on Flickr did my work for me.

Hooray!

Sheesh what a geek.
